E56 MILLION BOSCO BRIDGE OFFICIALLY OPENED

MANZINI – The Minister of Urban Housing and Development has applauded the Manzini Municipality on completing the Bosco bridge.

The new bridge, which connects Ngwane Park to the Manzini city was built for E56 million, along with three roads which connect to the bridge. The Bosco bridge was officially opened yesterday, by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development Prince Simelane.

“We are here thank you, to praise, and to admire the work of the Manzini Municipality on the elegant bridge they have constructed,” said the Minister.

The Minister added that the Municipal Council of Manzini should not be too wary of the fact that they take out loans sometimes, as that is part of the development process.

Manzini city mayor Mxolisi Mabuza explained that the bridge will greatly reduce traffic congestion on the Ngwane Park and Manzini road. He also thanked the Ministry of Urban Housing and Development and other stakeholders for the support which they show the Manzini Municipality as it carries out its mandate.

“It is because of such support that the continues to experience rapid development,” said Mabuza when speaking at the launch event.

Manzini Regional Administrator, Chief Gija, took a moment to congratulate the Manzini Municipality, as well as to light-heartedly remind everyone that all good things start in Manzini.

“Manzini is a vibrant city, and the Manzini region is a vibrant region. One key takeaway for you today is that all good things start in Manzini,” said Chief Gija light-heartedly.

Manzini CEO, Lungile Dlamini, revealed that the next milestones for the road infrastructure is to fix the Nkoseluhlaza and Thomasdale roads.
