MBABANE – Nine caregivers from Mankayane have each received an early Christmas gifts in form of E1 000 shopping vouchers as a token of appreciation from the Mankayane Town Board.
This publication has gathered that the gifts is a reward for their amazing work of taking care of children – a work they do voluntarily.
The gifts were announced after the Mankayane Volunteer Child Protection Training which took four days. According to Mankayane Town Board, the caregivers still needed proper training regardless of volunteering to do the work.
“The purpose of the training was to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills they need as they continue to take care of children and the community of Mankayane,” stated the Town Board on Facebook.
It is further stated that during the training, the caregivers got trained on issues including cancer, foster care, caregiving, psycho social issues, managing community disputes, adolescent issues or challenges, IPT – TB, Gender Based Violence, HIV and childhood care.
