MBABANE– The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has today started preparing for nominations for the elections.
EBC Communications Officer Mbonisi Bhembe, said yesterday was the last day of the voter’s transfer exercise.
The transfer exercise is a process where voters are transferred to their main constituencies where they are eligible for nominating and voting.
According to Bhembe, the commission has started preparing for the nominations exercise which is scheduled for next week Saturday.
He said the office will issue posters and signs, symbolizing that the nation is heading for nominations.
He said the nominations exercise will be held on the weekend of the 22 and 23 July at imiphakatsi. The exercise will be a one-day.
“The different polling stations will work on one of the two days. The EBC office is still preparing a list of the different dates for each voting station so that the public can avail themselves of the nominations,” Bhembe said.
He added that once the office is done preparing the scheduled dates, they will issue out the lists so that Emaswati can be aware of their different dates in different Tinkhundla or Umphakatsi respectively.
