HLANE– The Eswatini Elections and Boundaries Commission yesterday took to the Hlane Buganu festival for their civic voter education excerise.
The EBC was stationed with a public address system at the ceremony, with an EBC official addressing some of the frequently asked questions about the elections. The EBC officer emphasised that women should be greatly appreciated when it comes to the elections, because the numbers show that they are the ones who register and participate the most in the national elections.
One Mr Lukhele from Ntontozi commented that this was what Emaswati needed as the elections are around the corner.
“This is exactly what we need because some of us ignore these important responsibilities when we are not reminded about them. The elections are now an important part of the nation, and it is good that we incorporate them into our traditional events,” said Lukhele.
The EBC station at the ceremony was emblazoned with the new logo and slogan which were revealed earlier this week.
The EBC joined other organizations at the the ceremony who had come to sensitise the public about their products and services for Emaswati. Other organisations which were exhibiting alongside the EBC were the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), Standard Bank’s Unayo, the Eswatini Water Services Cooperation (EWSC), Eswatini Mobile, MTN Eswatini, Eswatini Revenue Services, as well as Instacash among others.
The Buganu Ceremony took place at Hlane yesterday.
