MBABANE- Showered with gifts!
As always the case, Libutfo were jubilant yesterday as they each received gifts from His Majesty King Mswati III.
This comes after a long walk yesterday where over 70 000 ingaja joined this year’s walk to cut the sacred Lusekwane shrub.
The gifts received by Libutfo comprised of a bag, sandals, arm belts, handkerchiefs (liduku) and t-shirts.
Emabutfo were full of praises due to the beautiful gifts they received from His Majesty King Mswati III.
“We are excited about our gifts from our King and this shows that we are in the heart of our King always. Bayethe Wena Waphakathi!!!,” said Umbutfo Litjelenyoni.
The Libutfo left Engabezweni Royal Residence in the afternoon, arriving at Eskhaleni selusekwane at around 5PM.
Lusekwane is part of the Eswatini nation’s annual prayer also known as Incwala. It is followed by a main dance ceremony where the nation gathers from all around the country to give thanks to the almighty God for the seasons.
The Incwala Ceremony has been gaining momentum as more and more Emaswati partake in the nation’s annual prayer.
His Majesty King Mswati III has announced that the main Incwala Holiday will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
