MBABANE- Warmly welcome!

Locals interested in witnessing the Zulu Nation, King Misizulu KaZwelithini, being crowned, are warmly welcome.

This is according to the Minister of Home Affairs, Princess Lindiwe, who alluded that emaSwati were welcome to be part of King Misizulu’s coronation.

The interview came after it was revealed by the Zulu King, who also has Eswatini royal blood by the virtue of being Queen Mantfombi’s son, who is King Sobhuza II’s daughter, will be officially crowned Zulu King on October 29, 2022.

King Misizulu reported, through a Zulu Royalty representative, yesterday to His Majesty King Mswati III at the Ludzidzini Royal Residence. Her Majesty Queen Mother Ntombi was present during the delivery of the message.

The Zulu King was accompanied by a delegation when they delivered the news to the His Majesty.

According to South Africa publications, King Misizulu KaZwelithini will be crowned at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa.

When asked if emaSwati were welcome to join in and witness the crowning of King Misizulu, the Minister of Home Affairs said she foresaw no obstacles in the attendance of emaSwati.

“We are strongly related with the Zulu nation and by that virtue, emaSwati could lend them space in the arena,” said Princess Lindiwe.

She also said members of the public (including South Africans) would be allowed to attend the ceremony- working in favour for locals wishing to attend.

However, the minister clearly stated that she was still going to gather official information on this regard, as she was still away on national duty.

“We will give the media well gathered information once I am back in the country,” she said.

Yesterday, His Majesty King Mswati III said they would pray for King Misizulu’s coronation after they were informed of the dates.

Worth noting is that after a year-long of family-feud, King Misizulu KaZwelithini was eventually crowned as King traditionally at Kwakhangela in KwaNongoma, KwaZulu Natal on August 20 this year.
