MBABANE – Embiveni Meats Industries (EMI) has made its mark in the annals of food industry excellence, achieving the coveted Grade A British Retail Consumption Global (BRCG) standard certification.
BRCG is a widely-recognised food safety and quality certification program. It is designed to ensure that food manufacturers and suppliers comply with the highest levels of safety, quality, and operational standards.
This was said by Embiveni Meat Industries’ Sales, Support and Marketing Manager Nosipho Shongwe, who articulated the company’s unwavering dedication to providing Emaswati consumers with the utmost quality and safety in their meat products. She highlighted that EMI’s retail shops are stringently monitored, with their officers ensuring that all employees adhere to the highest standards of food hygiene and safety during product delivery to customers.
Shongwe reassured Emaswati that the quality of meat products offered by the company was among the best in the world, emphasising that the recent BRCG certification was solid proof of EMI’s industry-leading position. She also underlined that the company’s commitment to food safety and quality put it on par with the giants of the global meat industry, offering Eswatini consumers meat of the highest standard and unsurpassed safety.
Embiveni Meat Industries, aiming to capitalise on their BRCG certification and expand their customer base, has extended their retail outlets’ opening hours from 7am to 7pm.
This, according to Shongwe, is done to cater to the needs of Emaswati consumers, including the working class. To complement their meat products, EMI has also diversified its offerings by incorporating various food items such as maize meal, spices, and vegetables, ensuring that their customers have a one-stop shop for all their daily needs.
Shongwe disclosed that the recently reduced prices were a strategic decision made by their CEO, thus inviting Emaswati to seize this opportunity and enjoy the cost-savings. She emphasised that on Saturday, the CEO, who has not been revealed yet, would personally handpick products to further reduce their prices, bolstering EMI’s customer-centric ethos.
