ENACTUS CHAMPIONS DEPART FOR CHAMPIONSHIP IN NETHERLANDS

MBABANE – The University of Eswatini Mbabane campus, Champions of this year’s ENACTUS national championship, have left the country to compete in the ENACTUS World Cup in the Netherlands.

 The event, featuring teams from 35 countries, will be a test of the students’ entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills. The competition also includes four teams from their own group.

Princess Fakudza, the ENACTUS program manager, praised the students for their hard work. The team has developed an innovative project focused on the development of livestock feed. Fakudza explained, ” They have a project for the development of livestock feed, that is the project that they are going to be competing with other teams in”.

The country’s director of ENACTUS Ncobile Dludlu, spoke during the send-off ceremony on Monday, emphasizing the learning and networking opportunities the event offers. “This is an opportunity for the students and us as ENACTUS Eswatini to learn and also to network and share ideas with our counterparts from different countries all over the world,” she said.

The ENACTUS World Cup encourages participants to align their initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Teams are challenged to devise innovative solutions addressing global issues, making the event a hub for creative problem-solving and impactful entrepreneurship.

The competition in the Netherlands is anticipated to be intense, with teams from around the world competing for the prestigious title. The ENACTUS World Cup is set to end this coming Friday. Participants, including the University of Eswatini Mbabane campus champions, are gearing up for this experience on the international stage.

Eswatini eagerly awaits their return, hopeful for a successful endeavour and an inspiring display of talent and determination representing the nation.
