MBABANE – Eswatini National Youth Council has visited youth owned businesses that are supported through the Insika Yelikusasa Lensha Project which is funded by the Taiwan Government.
This happened during the Global Entrepreneurship Week as part of Monitoring and Evaluation. It is said ENYC team aims to provide technical guidance and engage the youth on best practices.
Most of the youth businesses are doing fairly good as some have already acquired markets for their produce.
A young farmer from Gilgal, Ngangelive Gule, appreciated the ENYC team for supporting him in his agricultural project.
He says he will soon make profits from the financial assistance he got from the organization as most of his crops are almost ready for the market.
“I would like to encourage my fellow entrepreneurs to visit the ENYC offices. I am also grateful for the partnership between the Taiwan Government and the ENYC which came through for the youth of Eswatini,” said Gule.
Through the support, he managed to purchase butternut, watermelon and tomatoes seedlings.
Richard Tsabedze, a spaza shop owner from Eteni, is also one the young entrepreneurs that got E10 000 financial assistance from ENYC to start the business.
“ENYC has also helped me to grow in the business and be able to face challenges that come with it. I am able to make a living and keeping myself busy which protects me from developing bad habits,” said Tsabedze.
