EPIC GIG EARLY BIRD TICKETS SOLD OUT

MBABANE – The early bird catches the fattest worm!

This rings true for patrons who grabbed the chance to buy the Early Bird Tickets at a cheaper price; they have been sold out.

The early bird tickets sold out on Friday. The Full Fest arena was priced at E300, the Full Fest Epic Lounge was priced at E500, day entry was priced at E200, and day entry to the Epic Lounge was priced at E300.

When reached for comment The Epic Gig Festival Director, Tammy Toxik Dlamini, shared with this publication that the Early Bird tickets have been sold out. “We all sold out on early bird tickets, which were divided into three categories. Full Fest Arena, Full Fest Epic Lounge Day, and Day Entry to the Epic Lounge. We will soon announce when pre-sale physical and online tickets will be available.”

It’s worth mentioning that children who are 10 years old and under enter for free with accompanying parents.

The fifth edition of The Epic Gig Festival will be held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on June 28–30.

When asked when they will announce the artists who will perform at the festival, he shared with this publication that they are still in the process of finalising the artist application, which takes up more work, and soon they will shortlist the 20 who have qualified to perform on the Epic Gig stage. They will then announce the artists at the launch, which is scheduled for April.

Dlamini went on to say, “Those who haven’t applied yet can send their applications via email to theepicgigsd@gmail.com. Applications will close tomorrow, shared Dlamini.

The festival will kick off on Friday and last until Sunday. The only difference is that on the third day, which is Sunday, the festival will wrap up in the morning at 10 a.m.

It’s worth mentioning that last year, the fourth episode, for the first time since its inception, hosted the festival over a three-day period. In the past, it was overnight until the next morning. It was held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.

The Epic Gig concept was founded in 2017 by Tammy Toxic Dlamini, who wanted to have a show with a rich line-up that was epic, which has maintained its consistency with a rich line-up for the last four festivals.

Last year’s festival saw South African artists like Kwesta, YoungstaCPT, Mlindo the Vocalist, Blxckie Maglera Doe Boi, 25K, A Reece, and Aymos perform. Local artists included Toxik, Rowen The Vth, Fantacy, Tella, Aya City, Bu The Drum, Sir Teazy, Tilungu, Kangaroo, Itsallblaq, Bay Bash, The Bishops, DJExpo, Bisto, and Eimsofy, and many more, including The Freshmen.
