MBABANE – The Epic Gig Freshmen finalist, will get a chance to record with multi-talented platinum selling South African artist Aubrey Qwana.
Yesterday, The Epic Gig released the top 21 freshmen finalists to be voted for by the public. The public will then vote for the final 10 freshmen who will get a chance to perform at the festival. The finalist will get a chance to perform at the festival on the Freshman Stage in 2024.
This was confirmed by Festival Director Tammy Toxik Dlamini, who shared with this publication that the finalists will feature Aubrey Qwana, who just signed with Universal Records.
He said: “Once we have the top 10, the most voted-for candidate will not only benefit from full festive exposure, branding opportunities, a tour, and payment as well, but will also get a chance to collaborate and feature with Aubrey Qwana. It’s important that we insist that the finalists feature Aubrey, but they will own the music. The song will belong to the Liswati finalist.”
The fifth edition of the Epic Gig Festival, marking episode V, will be held on the 28th to 30th of June 2024, at Mavuso Trade Centre.
