MBABANE – The English Premier League (EPL) 2024/25 season gets underway on Friday (August 16, 2024).
This comes after the EPL released the season’s full schedule and dates of all 380 matches this morning (June 18,2024) with about two remaining before kick-off.
According to the premierleague.com, champions Manchester City will begin their campaign with a mouth-watering clash against Chelsea, while Arsenal who finished second under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, face a home visit from Wolves.
Newly promoted Ipswich Town will face a visit from Arne Slot’s Liverpool in their first game back in the topflight after 22-years of absence, with the last game in the 2001/02 season being a 5-0 defeat against the Reds. While Championship winner Leicester City will close the opening fixture will home game against Tottenham Hotspurs on Monday evening (August 19, 2024).
Manchester United will kick-off the 24/25 campaign by welcoming Fulham to Old Trafford.
