MBABANE – The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) has today launched a new portal, called Tax Ease.
The portal, which was launched at ERS Headquarters in Ezulwini, will make it easier for taxpayers to access information and pay their taxes. The ERS hopes that the new portal will improve efficiency.
The ERS stated that the Client Self Service portal, Tax Ease, will simplify tax filing and payment for clients, making it easier and more convenient to comply with tax obligations. The system is set to start working on March 4, 2024. The ERS believes that the new portal will improve efficiency and reduce administrative burdens for both taxpayers and the agency itself.
The Tax Ease portal, which is based on the Oracle platform, offers advanced capabilities such as configuration, integration, and data security. It also provides simplified payment referencing, online tax filing for multiple types of taxes, and automatically generated certificates with QR codes. The portal is designed to streamline and improve the tax filing process for clients.
The Tax Ease portal was developed by Cebolenkhosi Mahlalela, who has been working to further upgrade and improve the system. In addition to the previously mentioned features, the portal offers integrated payments, auto-population of returns, online filling of levies, and monthly payroll upload. To access the portal, clients will need to provide their personal email address, which will be used as their login ID.
