MBABANE– Equipment that will help broadcast in all regions.
Eswatini Television has received broadcasting equipment from Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) worth E1.2 million.
The gifts were received by Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Phesheya Dube who said the equipment will help the television station broadcast in all regions of the country.
“The equipment will be essential as we will be able to cover the elections. This is a really big gift. It is a big year as elections are up and we now we have the tools to capture this special moment. We will also be able to interview candidates on what their intentions are once chosen to represent emaSwati,” said Dube.
Chief Executive at Eswatini Communications Commission Mvilawemphi Dlamini mentioned that the gifts were worth E1.2 million and would work closely with Eswatini TV.
“The gifts we come bearing are worth E1.2 million. Today’s presentation is not a once-off thing. We are still going to work closely with Eswatini TV and other broadcasting stations in the country. We have a dream to one day have an independent production house where we have programs of high quality,” said the CE.
