This is how Eswatini Air has been described, as the new operator of the Embraer ERJ145 in Africa. This information has been going viral on internationally renowned publications after independent engineers revealed its technical features upon its launch.

According to research conducted by this reporter, the Embraer ERJ145 is a powerful jet and the largest in the ERJ family. It is perfect for creating a regional network and offers great capacity. With more than twenty years in operation and with service in 26 different countries, it has proven to be a great option both on and off the runway.

The publications revealed that the new African carrier, Eswatini Air, from the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), started its flights on Sunday with two Embraer ERJ 145 jets.

The first destinations served by Eswatini Air are Harare, in Zimbabwe, and Johannesburg, in South Africa, with departures from King Mswati III International Airport, in Manzini.

“The ERJ 145 incorporated by Eswatini Air, with registrations 3DC-EAA and 3DC-EAB, are models that were delivered by Embraer in 1998 and 1999, respectively.

“The previous operator of the jets was Hop!, Air France’s regional flights division. The aircraft are leased from Acia Aero Capital, a Turkish leasing company,” explained the reports.

Efforts to get technical information from Eswatini Air proved to be futile by the time this article was compiled.

Eswatini Air intends to launch new routes to Durban and Cape Town, South Africa, starting in May or June. According to Wikipedia, he Embraer ERJ family (for Embraer Regional Jet, model names EMB-135, EMB-140 and EMB-145) are regional jets designed and produced by the Brazilian aerospace company Embraer. The family includes the ERJ135 (37 passengers), ERJ140 (44 passengers), and ERJ145 (50 passengers), as well as the Legacy 600 business jet and the R-99 family of military aircraft.
