MBABANE – Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga says Government will continue to support the growth of Choral Music in Eswatini. Minister Bulunga has been speaking at the 2022 Standard Bank Choral Music Competition held at Esibayeni Lodge on Sunday.

Speaking during the event, Minister Bulunga said “Choral music is a hugely important genre and His Majesty’s Government remains committed to supporting its growth in Eswatini. I urge the Nation to continue supporting our choral music stars and groups so that such an important genre grows and is sustained for future generations.”

“I thank the entire Standard Bank Eswatini family for the amazing & unwavering support for choral music in Eswatini. It is rare to find such partnerships that stand the test of time in the way that this partnership between Standard Bank Eswatini and choral music has done. Such support is critical in driving the growth of choral music and the entire arts industry. It is clear to us, CE and the entire Standard Bank family, that Eswatini is truly your home and you are committed to driving her growth,” added Minister Bulunga.

Standard Bank CEO Mvuselelo Fakudze also reaffirmed the Bank’s support of the Eswatini arts. “Standard Bank’s support towards the development of the local Arts & Culture stems from our Brand purpose, ‘Eswatini is our Home, We Drive Her Growth.’ The local Arts fraternity has been deeply affected by the pandemic, we are still committed to finding ways to support the industry,” said Fakudze.
