MBABANE-Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini is of the view that Eswatini is a blessed nation to have Their Majesties who fear God the Almighty.
The premier was part of Emaswati who were present at the National Prayer Service, for the beginning of the year 2024. Dlamini introduced Her Majesty the Indlovukazi and later introduced His Majesty King Mswati III to give his sermon.
Speaking on his Facebook page, Dlamini said he was blessed on Saturday to join Their Majesties, the Nation, the Church, the country’s diplomatic and international partners and visitors from all walks of life for the annual national prayer service held at Mandvulo Grand Hall.
He said he was moved by the powerful sermons shared by His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Indlovukazi and the different ministers of the Gospel who all emphasised what God could do for the nation, only if the nation could put its trust in Him and make prayer its daily lifestyle.
“I have said it before and I want to reiterate it once again, our greatest blessing as a country is being led by a Head of State who believes in the power of prayer and who allows for freedom of worship. For that, I say Bayethe Wena Waphakathi!” Dlamini said.
The head of Government then forwarded a Biblical message to the nation. “My message to the Nation is found in the Book of Hebrews 10 v 23-25 which says: ‘Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near,’” he said.
In conclusion, the prime minister urged Emaswati not to stop the habit of gathering in prayer. “Let us allow God to lead us as a Nation. May God bless Eswatini!” he concluded. At the time of writing this report, Dlamini’s post had attracted 79 comments from other Emaswati. They praised him for sharing such words, which they saw as being insightful.
They encouraged him to continue trusting in the Lord so that everything could go well for Emaswati. Some of the Facebookers told him that the country had many problems that Emaswati had to deal with. They believed that it was through Jehovah’s guidance that the problems could be solved. They thanked him for encouraging Emaswati to continue to trust in the Lord.
