MBABANE – Save the date!

The Eswatini Creators Awards will be held on February 3 this year. The venue is yet to be confirmed.

Swazi Boy TV made the announcement today that the date has been set for the much-anticipated awards.

It is worth mentioning that two weeks ago, ECA released the top five creatives in each category for this year’s Creators Awards. This year’s Eswatini Creative Awards will have 23 categories. Last year, there were 30 categories; this was done to ensure inclusivity.

When reached for comment, Swazi Boy Public Relations Officer (PRO) Nokwanda Sibandze confirmed to this publication that the date has been set, but they have not confirmed the venue as yet. It’s worth mentioning that last year’s awards were held at Happy Valley on December 4.

Sibandze mentioned in a previous interview that they noted an incredible response from emaSwati, and they would like to thank everyone who commented, shared, and liked their posts, as well as, of course, those who nominated their favourites’.

The rule book for the awards was released in December last year. In a previous interview, the PRO She encouraged emaSwati to vote for deserving candidates to ensure the quality of Eswatini’s creatives. She went on to advise that emaSwati should read the rules and captions before voting.

The awards are crafted to bring unity and fun times to the Kingdom through the social media platforms used on a daily basis. The main purpose is to empower, support, appreciate, and build the creative industry in the kingdom. The awards also seek to create a new wave of models and influencers while improving the value of existing brands.

It is worth mentioning that the winners will be announced live at the awards ceremony. Only the CEO’s Award will be voted for. This one will be chosen by the CEO of Swazi Boy Entertainment as the most deserving organisation or individual who has played a huge role in the arts.
