ESWATINI CREATORS AWARDS RULE BOOK OUT

Mbabane – Swazi Boy  Entertainment yesterday released the rule book for this year’s Creators Awards.

When reached for comment Swazi Boy Public Relations (PRO)  Nokwanda Sibandze, said that the date and venue for this year’s awards will be revealed at a later date. It’s worth mentioning that last year’s awards were held at Happy Valley on December 04.

She said, ” We encourage emaSwati to vote for deserving candidates. They must check the candidate’s background, so we can get quality  of Eswatini creatives.”

She went on to advise that emaSwati should read the rules and captions before voting.

The Eswatini Creators Awards for emaSwati and residents. “The SMA’s are crafted to bring unity and fun times to the Kingdom through the social media platforms we use on a daily. The main purpose is to empower, support, appreciate and build the creative industry in the kingdom, said Sibandze.

 She further said the awards also seek to create a new wave of models, and influencers while improving the value of existing brands. “By the end of the awards we shall have a pool of brands who shall be capacitated to be leaders in the creative space,” said the PRO.

Rules of Nominations :

* The awards are open to every citizen of the country and residents.

* A person can nominate a person only once but they can nominate as many as they wish under the same category.

* Platforms where nominations can be done are;

a) Swazi Boy TV on Facebook

b) Eswatini Creators Awards on Instagram

c) @ECA_eswatini on Twitter

* Nominations will last for six days only

* Nominations closes at 11:59 pm on Friday 8 December

* Only 10 people qualify to be on the final list of nominees and will move on to the voting stage for each category.

* An individual can be nominated in more than one category but not exceeding  three.

Voting Stage for the Nominees

* 10 nominees will qualify for this stage of voting.

* This will be done through Social Media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

* A Nominee’s picture will be posted on any of the socials and if you are voting for that person you will need to like that person’s picture.

* A like equates to 1 (one) vote

* Five people with the most votes from each each category will qualify to be in the final voting stage.

* This stage of voting will last for four weeks.

Finals

* The top five nominees from each category will qualify for this stage.

* The voting process here will be done via SMS through MTN ESwatini/Eswatini Mobile network.

* The winner will be the one with the most votes via the SMS platform.

* An independent auditor will be engaged to verify the number of votes.

* The nominee can be voted for as many times as possible.

* The winner will be announced live at the Awards Ceremony which will be announced in due course.

* Only the CEO’s Award will not be voted for. This one will be chosen by the CEO of Swazi Boy Entertainment to the most deserving organization/individual who has played a huge role in the arts.

THIS YEAR ESWATINI CREATIVE’S AWARDS WILL HAVE 23 CATEGORIES

It’s worth mentioning that last year there were 30 categories.  When reached for comment Eswatini Creative’s Awards Public Relations Officer (PRO) Nokwanda Sibandze said, ” We decided to make this year’s awards to be more inclusive and cut them down to 23.”

6. Best Visual Artist

8. Best Deco

9. Best Poet

10. Best Comedian

11. Best Music Producer

12. Best Influencer

13. Best TikToker

14. Best IT (Software design/ Web Design)

15. Baker of the Year

16. Architecture of the Year

17. Videographer of the Year

18. Best YouTuber

19. Best Curated Event of the Year

20. Music Artist of the Year

21. Best DJ

22. Best Nail Tech

23. CEOs Award
