DWALILE – The Eswatini Dairy Board has begun it’s programming on training farmers on cattle breeding. The programme is currently ongoing at Dwalile in Mangcongco, where local volunteers are being trained on cattle breeding for commercial purposes.
Speaking during the training, one of the students, Precious Mavuso said, “What we’re learning is very important. I’m now able to train and share with others in my cooperative. They did share with us that there very few cattle breeders in the country and they’d like us to grow develop to grow the numnber of breeders in Eswatini. This is also very helpful for us youth as we have less and less employment opportunities, and we have been told that breeding can be very profitable.”
The training programme is directed at farmers around the country, particularly the youth, and it is free to attend.
