EMASWATI EXCITED ABOUT GOVT’S ANNOUNCEMENT ON MEDICATION DELIVERIES

MBABANE – A sigh of relief, as government announces the arrival of medication.
Emaswati have welcomed the good news of the arrival of some medication in the country.
This comes after several concerns both from members of the public and medical practitioners that most health institutions in the country were faced with a shortage in medication. At some point, nurses engaged in protests over the non-availability of medication. A probe into the shortage revealed that some unregistered pharmacists have found a canning way of ‘stealing’ government stock to sell it for their own benefit.
Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has disclosed in an article published by the Times of Eswatini today that the ministry has been receiving a number of medications that government had purchased from her suppliers. The minister stated that stock that has arrived included children’s vaccination, theatre medication and commodities, ART, TB medication, a wide range of pain management medication, and other essentials.
Emaswati have since reacted to the Times article, posting their appreciation on Facebook.
