MBABANE – The Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) will host business seminars as part of the 2023 exhibition program.
The themes that will be covered include e-Commerce, Marketing, Public Relations, and Trade through African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
According to a press statement sent to this publication, Bongani Ntshangase said, “We find it important to spend time creating a program of business seminars that will add value to our visitors during the trade fair. People attend the trade fair to get updates about what various companies are doing in Eswatini. It is an advantage when they walk away with some type of knowledge that will support and strengthen their skills and elevate their business. We seek to enable attendants to make good judgments and quick decisions by providing these seminars.”
Entry fees to the business seminars are E30 and the dates for the business seminar program are as follows;
Monday, 04 September
- 10 am; Unpacking Labour Opportunities in the USA.
- 2 pm; Entrepreneurship for Export to the USA
Tuesday, 5 September
- 10 am; Enhancing Trade through Social Media Marketing & PR
- 2 pm: Leveraging on E-Commerce for Trade
Wednesday, 6 September
- 10 am; Opportunities for Youth in Business
- 2 pm; Positioning the Youth for AfCFTA
Thursday, 7 September
- 10 am; Business Opportunities in Africa
- 2 pm Opportunities for local businesses
Friday, 8 September
- 10 am Vusumnotfo Business Indaba
- 2 pm Vusumnotfo Business Indaba
The EIPA Head of Trade Bongani argued that over 300 exhibitors will be present during the 10-day exhibition. For the opening ceremony on the 2nd of September, no entrance fee will be charged. The event will be an opportunity for emaSwati to enjoy entertainment and business activities marking the beginning of the EITF 2023.
Bongani disclosed that an SUV KIA Sonet is up for grabs at the trade fair. Attendants at the EITF can enter the win-a-car competition at the Trade Fair. The car is sponsored by Wesbank and Kia Motors Eswatini.
Emaswati need to visit the Eswatini International Trade Fair from 1-10 September visit the stands and gather stamps on their entry form. The form will then be dropped into the entry box and the winner will be announced during the EIFT closing ceremony.
In addition, the Eswatini International Trade Fair has this year signed more partners including FNB, Building Society, Mula Sport, Corban Electrical, Eswatini TV, Eswatini Observer, VOC FM, and EBIS. More partners will be announced in the near future.
Free access to government and health services will be provided and information sessions and product demos placed at the trade fair. EITF will also host night gigs, Gospel Sunday as well as Spring Bash. Fashion shows, Comedy, and African Carnival will be part of the proceedings during the EITF. Entry fees will be announced to the public through the media and other platforms.
In conclusion, the statement reads, Kids Fun games will be available attracting children and adults from all over the country. Kids will pay E20 and E30 for adults for the fun fair.
