… Prizes to be rolled out next year

MBABANE – The country’s long-standing and consistent entertainment stable, Swazi Boy Entertainment has proved that it is not only about making people have a good time but is also dedicated to keeping their word.
Swazi Boy Entertainment Director Mthunzi ‘Shadow’ Zwane has revealed the 2022 Social Media Awards (SMA) prizes. These prizes will be awarded to all the winners next month.
From a year-long connectivity courtesy of Eswatini Mobile to a year-long course sponsored by Business Eswatini, the winners are in for a good time.
Zwane mentioned that the prizes were from various sponsors in the country and they were thankful to them for being part of their journey and making sure they contribute to local arts.
“Starting in January 2023, Eswatini Mobile will give out a 12 month contract to all winners. Business Eswatini will sponsor a training course for all the winners on business and social media branding,” said Zwane.
The past weekend, stable hosted the third edition of what has now become one of the biggest awards showpieces in the country – the Eswatini Social Media Awards. The first-ever Social Media Awards saw a celebration of some of the kingdom’s stars and creatives in 2020.
Held at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini, the event saw 31 artists, companies, and creatives being awarded for their hard work throughout the year. The first-of-its-kind event saw attendees dressed to the nines as per the theme ‘Tfungisani’.
The concept not only embraces the creatives who appear on social media platforms only but goes on to recognize business entities and young entrepreneurs who are making a mark in various fields including agriculture.
This is evident in the Hangout Spot of the Year award which went to Ekhayeni Chillaz .Males and females who are in the business of offering decor services were also recognized on the night of the awards and those who have excelled with their cooking skills.
