MBABANE – Eswatini should focus more on technology to address most of the challenges that were submitted in Sibaya People’s Parliament.
Mbabane East Member of Parliament, Welcome Dlamini said this when making his own submission at Mandvulo hall yesterday. He said most of the needs that are presented are there in Vision 2022.
“We should go back to Vision 2022 because it has all the needs that should be address to fight poverty in the country, Vision 2022 also requires us to adopt technology because First World Countries such as Taiwan are mostly rooted on technology,” he said.
Dlamini applauded His Majesty for the Royal Science Technology Park (RSTP) which would be of great help in the adoption of technology.
“The Ministry of Education should revise the education system to adopt Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) because that education can take the Kingdom of Eswatini to first world. We have such an intelligent youth and they love technology we can use that to our advantage,” he said.
He submitted that the media should play a significant role in developing the country and understand that media is not there to criticise but to contribute in nation building.
