…Association pleads for donations

MBABANE– The sports industry is growing in Eswatini and 17 swimmers are set to showcase their swimming skills in Angola.
The CANA Zone IV Games will be held on May 3-8, 2023 in Angola.
To make their trip there, the Eswatini Swimming Association has asked the public for financial assistance to be able to send all 17 swimmers to Angola.
When sought for comment, Association Secretary Nozipho Matsebula mentioned that E22 000 was needed for each of the 17 swimmers.
“That means a total of E374 000 is needed. The Eswatini Swimming Association is an NGO (Non- Profit Organisation) and thus we ask for financial assistance from emaSwati to be able to take all 17 swimmers to Angola. “Our team comprises of swimmers from various backgrounds which is why we are seeking assistance so that the athletes all represent our Kingdom. Our athlete’s perform at high levels and bringing home medals and trophies on international stages whilst also shattering decade long national records,” said Matsebula.
