ESWATINI TALENT COLLABORATES WITH FOREIGN ARTISTS

MBABANE – Born and bred in Eswatini artists, Sibusiso Shongwe, aka Bless Le Poet and his partner Thembakayise Fakudze famously known as Alec The Father’s Hope have collaborated with a couple of artists from neighbouring countries in their upcoming single Bars2Bars.

“The track features Anatii from South Africa, Korede Gold from Malawi, and Dah Race from Nigeria. Local artists featured on the track include Ma_H33, Young Angel, Redeemer and Alec the Father’s Hope to name some”, said Bless Le Poet.

According to the artist Bless Le Poet, The song is a cypher about motivation and inspiration towards children living with only a single parent. It is dedicated to children who are struggling, said the Poet. His art for poetry was inspired by the love of poetry and the feeling to deliver long messages in a short form. Bless enjoys entertaining the crowd with his poetry, he added.

In an interview with Bless Le Poet, he mentioned that they united hoping that their collaboration will bring out the biggest song in the country. Bless Le Poet has been featured on national radio and television including EBIS, Eswatini Television, and UNESWA FM. He has also had online interviews with Pepper Magazine about his music and poetry.

Meanwhile, his partner Alec is a hip-hop artist & producer. He has also been featured by Fadope, an artist from Nigeria on 2 tracks titled ‘Stay Back’ and ‘Shake It’ under his Extended Playlist (EP) ‘I Know’.

Bless Le Poet was inspired by Scooby the Poet, Sibonginkhosi Ngwenya. He made him believe in himself said the poet. He also helped him during the first miles of his journey.

Both of the artists are from the Lubombo region, Sibusiso Shongwe from Phonjwane under the Siphofaneni constituency. Thembakayise Fakudze is from Siteki to be precise. “Through Sibonginkhosi Ngwenya’s help, I became a better writer and poet”. I believe we will eventually come up with an internationally recognized song one day”, concluded Bless Le Poet.
