…five families from France were impressed with Eswatini

MBABANE – Eswatini Tourism was boosted during the 2023 Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival.
The country played host to a litany of people from all over the world who had come to witness the beauty of Eswatini while enjoying the Luju Festival.
A number of people spoken revealed that they were from countries like Mozambique, Lesotho, South Africa and mostly Botswana.
There were also families from France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Some of the interviewed families revealed that they had flown in for the Festivals while others attested to extending their stay so as to continue touring the Kingdom.
A middle-aged couple from Botswana revealed that they were going to leave the country in mid-August because they did not want to cut their trip short and miss out on the tourist offering by the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Meanwhile, Eswatini Tourism Authority CEO Linda Nxumalo said they were happy with the numbers they received. He also attributed the recognition of Tourism to the Luju organisers by mentioning that events like these help bring in numbers.
“Luju was an eventful two days as ETA. We are happy and humbled by the number of people we saw coming into the country. Tourism works differently because now we know when these families go back to their country they will recommend Eswatini and more tourists will be coming in,” said Nxumalo.

We flew in using Eswatini Air last Thursday for the festival. When we got here we then heard of the festival and we have been here since. We are still in awe of how safe Eswatini is. Everyone here is so kind and warm.
Lethabo and Family (Lesotho)
Eswatini is fresh and we are happy to have been part of such a monumental event. We enjoyed our stay and the festival. We are definitely coming back next year.

I was here for Bushfire, then this time around I decided to bring my family and it was the best decision I have ever taken. We enjoyed the food, touring the country before the festival. Everything about this tiny Kingdom was beautiful.
