The meeting took place at Private and Cabinet Offices at Hospital Hill, Mbabane. According to the prime minister on his Facebook page, he had good discussions with the two diplomats.

“We had a candid conversation on several matters of mutual interest, including on the importance of democracy, human rights, respect for sovereignty, prioritisation of fighting corruption and terrorism, as well as on our diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan),” the prime minister said.

He said they also discussed possible areas of mutual cooperation that align with Government’s goal of uniting and building the nation as per Emaswati’s call during the Sibaya People’s Parliament. These include collaboration in wealth creation, economic growth, energy and technology, amongst others.

“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to further strengthen our bilateral and diplomatic relations with the United States as one of our valuable development partners,” Dlamini concluded.
