MBABANE – The European Union (EU) in Eswatini is planning to massively support many different sectors in the country.

This transpired yesterday (April 8, 2024) when EU Eswatini Ambassador Dessislava Choumelova and her team met Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini. The Meeting took place at Private and Cabinet Offices at Hospital Hill in Mbabane.

According to information posted on Dlamini’s Facebook page, priorities in this programme include support to education and skills, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, inclusive renewable energy investments, value chains development, MSME development in Eswatini and GBV, amongst others.

Ambassador Choumelova and her delegation revealed this when they presented the EU’s comprehensive development partnership programme with Eswatini. This was the purpose of the meeting they had with the Prime Minister.

Dlamini said they also made their contributions into the proposals made by the EU team. “We made input to the proposed project to ensure that it is aligned with Government priorities and long-term plan,” said the Prime Minister.
