MBABANE – Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (EWADE) has supported the Mpolonjeni Water Supply Scheme with E 95 400 to revive a water project.
This water project is expected to provide the community with clean water for both domestic and agricultural Usage. EPN has gathered that this happened on EWADE Day where the organisation visits people in the communities to give a helping hand.
According to the EWADE newsletter, the mission is to help communities in order to improve their quality of life through assisting them in such projects.
“To empower communities to improve their quality of life through projects in commercial agriculture and other enterprises, providing innovative services in infrastructure development and management as well as expertise to public and private entities,” reads the newsletter.
It said that the EWADE staff members have been of great help in the rehabilitation of the Mpolonjeni Water Supply project and participated in the planting of crops such as beetroot and maize, installed irrigation pipes and a pump to filter and provide clean water. They also helped with the fencing of three community gardens that support over 46 individuals who sell commercially to formal markets.
