MBABANE – Uche FC, a club dominated by former Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) players are S&S Malkerns Promotion League champions.
Despite winning the trophy, gold medals, and first prize money, they also got a spot in the play-offs where they will battle for a spot to the Manzini Super League.
Some of the PLE players are Green Mamba’s Muntu ‘Uche’ Mamba who is the Chairman of the club, Lawrence Mncina, Thembinkosi ‘Mbhedze’ Dlamini, Mcebo Mdluli, Sifiso Mkhelele’ Mdluli and former Royal Leopard Sifiso ‘Sushi’ Nkambule.
The team played the whole season without losing a match.
Mamba first thanked the players and the Malkerns community for their support. He said the players were committed. He said their dream is to play in the elite and also develop some of the young players.
“Our dream this season is to go to the Manzini Super League. Having the former Premier League players was a boasts because the team is also made of young players who are part of the Under-20 national squad,” he said.
The technical bench is also boasted by former Green Mamba player and official Siyabonga ‘Msholozi’ Mdluli. He said the technical bench did well and they will continue fighting in the play-offs to reach the Super League.
He said now they will give focus to the play-offs.
