FARMERS INVITED TO NAMBOARD ROADSHOWS

MBABANE – The National Agricultural Marketing Board (NAMBoard) will be holding a series of roadshows starting on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 and farmers are encouraged to attend in large numbers.

The roadshows are designed to provide information and resources to help farmers increase their productivity and profitability.

These roadshows will be held at pack houses in all four regions of Eswatini, providing a valuable opportunity for face-to-face interactions with farmers, prospective farmers, and the youth. The roadshows will feature the popular comedians Gogo and Slwane, who are sure to entertain and educate the audience.

These roadshows will provide a platform for farmers to learn about and access important resources and services to help them grow their businesses.  Discussions will be about farmer development initiatives such as access to finance, production technologies, input supplies, market facilitation, and registration on the Eswatini Horticulture Information System (EHIS). These initiatives are designed to support farmers and help them succeed.

This event will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including farmers, markets, financial service providers, market extension officers, and officials from the Ministry of Agriculture. This collaboration is vital to ensuring that farmers have access to the resources and support they need to succeed. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of farmers in Eswatini.

The following is a list of the dates and locations for the roadshows

– Wednesday, February 21st: Lavumisa Pack House in Shiselweni

– Wednesday, February 28th: Msahweni Pack House in Hhohho

– Wednesday, March 6th: Siphofaneni LnL Pack House in Lubombo

– Wednesday, March 13th: Encabeni Pack House in Manzini

The roadshows will take place on the specified dates and at the specified locations. Farmers and other stakeholders are encouraged to be part of these  informative roadshows.
