MBABANE – “Eswatini Farmer’s Market would like to assure all attendees of yet another great event experience and your satisfaction and the quality of your experience remains our top priority.”

This was what the Farmers’ Market Organisers said about the change of venue from Malkerns Country Club to Sibebe Resort. This comes after the public was responding with questions as to why the venue was changed so close to the event.

The statement let it be known that the main reason for changing the venue was the failure to host a great event while still complying with the new conditions imposed by the Malkerns Town Council. These conditions included that the event should not go beyond midnight, an attendance limit of 1500 people, sound level regulations, and limited parking.

“Having considered these conditions, it was in the best interest of the event to be moved to Sibebe Resort, a venue that can host the event with workable terms and conditions. In addition, the Sibebe resort venue is not only able to host our attendees and supporters, but it also comes with a number of other benefits such as additions to family-friendly offerings (water slides and infinity pools), both an indoor and outdoor venue, extended safety due to the exclusivity of the place, camping and accommodation, as well as 24-hour operation of the venue,” read the statement from the organisers.

The Farmers’ Market will return this year on September 9, with performances by Kayendasoul, Sun El Musician, Nana Atta, Lution, Aya City, Bloss, and Maline Aura among others.
