SOCCER – Dubbed ‘Liyasikwa Liyamila’, the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) development programme will hold the finals of their Cabana Under-13 finals in four zones across the month of February.
In a swiftly arranged media press conference at Sigwaca House on Tuesday, HRFA Development Officer Sibonangaye Dlamini announced that the finals will begin this Saturday, February 4 with the Mbabane zone at Msunduza Sports Ground.
Running in sequence every Saturday, it will move to Buhleni, Pigg’s Peak, and finally Lobamba on February 28, 2023.
Cabana is a product of Lactalis Eswatini, formerly Parmalat, and started sponsoring the youth development initiative with E10 000 in 2014. This year, E80 000 will be distributed to winning teams across the four zones.
The company’s marketing manager Lucky Phiri said they were proud to be sponsors of a care and community based initiative.
HRFA Chairman Comfort Shongwe insisted that football remained the best vehicle to market a brand and Cabana were enjoying a golden platform.
“Football has footprints everywhere even in rural areas hence Lactalis has made the right choice,” Shongwe said.
