SOCCER – Industrious attacker Felix Badenhorst opened the scorer’s chart before being sent off for an early shower in what looked like rough play as Mbabane Swallows cruised to a comfortable 3-1 home win against Tambuti.
Caleb Ngwenya and his charges played the game behind closed doors as part of a Disciplinary Committee ruling with the next home fixture, against Madlenya also to be played without fans. The free-scoring Badenhorst put Swallows ahead in the 25th minute with a trademark header before being sent off before the breather.
At the stroke of half-time, galloping forward Sandile Hlatshwako also stabbed home with a header to settle the nerves.
Bashir Mutanda finished the game as a contest three minutes before the hour mark with yet another header and Tambuti’s goal three minutes from time was not enough to stage a comeback.
