FINCORP MD HONOURED WITH A AADFI GOLD AWARD

MBABANE– Eswatini is positioning itself in the continent.

Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) Group Managing Director, Dumisani Msibi, has been honoured with the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) Gold Award. 

According to AADFI Secretary General Cyril Okoye, this award recognised the selfless services that the FINCORP MD rendered to the Association as a member of the Board of Directors and Regional Representative for Southern Africa.

“Your commitment contributes to the progress the Association has recorded over the years,” said Okoye. 

The award ceremony took place at the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Centre (SSHC), in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, during the African Development Bank Annual Meetings and on the occasion of the 48th AADFI Annual General Assembly.

Msibi accepted the award in person from African Development Bank (AfDB) Vice President, Private Sector, Infrastructure, and Industrialization, Solomon Quaynor, at the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Centre in Egypt.  

The MD expressed his profound gratitude for the recognition.

“I am deeply humbled and encouraged that I have been found to be worthy of this prestigious honour of this continental body of Development Finance Institutions. It gives me great satisfaction that our efforts at the board of AADFI are making a difference.

“I wish to appreciate the collective effort of the AADFI Board of Directors for the incredible work that they do to strengthen the work of Development Finance Institutions in the continent, particularly in driving impact investments and capacity building,” said the MD.

The Association has over 82-member institutions comprising national and multinational institutions engaged in finance and development activities in Africa. It is a member of the World Federation of Development Finance Institutions (WFDFI) and has observer status at the World Bank. FINCORP is a member of AADFI.

The Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) is an international Pan-African organization for Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) created under the auspices of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 1975. The mission of AADFI is to promote cooperation among development finance institutions operating in Africa and other continents.

The Association has over 82 member institutions comprising national and multinational institutions engaged in finance and development activities in Africa. The AADFI has its headquarters in Abidjan, Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. It is a member of the World Federation of Development Finance Institutions (WFDFI) and has observer status at the World Bank. Any banking or finance institution may accede to membership of the Association. Members are classified into Ordinary Members comprising the African national institutions; Associates Members; Special Members made up of African regional or sub-regional institutions; Honorary Members composed of non-African international institutions.
