MBABANE – If you have not registered to vote by now, you have only five days left before you are counted out.
The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has maintained that registration period will lapse next week, June 14. This effectively means there are only five days left for Emaswati to register.
According to EBC, to date, over 378 111 people have registered to participate in the upcoming national elections. The commission has stated that the average registration is 13 038 per day, raising hopes that the targeted 400 000 voters would be recorded over the remaining days.
EBC Statistics reflect that about 174 712 males have registered while females are 203 399. It has also been recorded that 17 569 persons living with disabilities have registered. Statistics show that the number of registrants for 2023 General Elections is impressive, standing at 53.79 percent for females and 46.21 percent.
