MBABANE – Welcome to Lesotho!
Wendy Baxter from Top Models Eswatini and four models from this country have been chosen to be part of the Maru A Pula Fashion exhibition show in Lesotho on Saturday.
The event will be held at Lehakoe Recreational Centre Maseru, Lesotho. This will be the grand launch of the Maru A Pula Arts and Modelling Agency.

The five models are Wendy Baxter, Nondumiso Msibi, Nontsetselelo Mayisela, Aphelele Sihlongonyane, and Thabani Gumedze, who is Mr UNESWA 2nd Prince. Some of the models are from Top Models Eswatini, and some are affiliates of the Arts and Culture Models Association.

When reached for comment, Founder and CEO of Top Models Eswatini (TME), Mbali Manana, confirmed with this publication that some of her models were invited to the Lesotho show. “We got an invitation from Honourable Mokherane Chatlin Tsatsanyane, who is also a Member of Parliament (MP) from Lesotho, runs an entertainment stable, and is the founding CEO of a modelling agency called Maru A Pula Modelling Agency.”

Manana went on to say: “His modelling agency has been chosen by Lutfo Dlamini to also collaborate with TME at the Eswatini Biggest Braaai Fashion 2024. The models have been supporting Eswatini International Fashion Week since 2022, when we started working with Eswatini Biggest Braaai. Last year, MCT came to Eswatini Biggest Braaai with his models.”

When reached for comment, Mokherane Chatlin Tsatsanyane, affectionately known as MCT, who is the brains behind the event, said, “We have a working relationship with Mbalenhle Manana from Eswatini. The founder and CEO of Top Models, Eswatini, said, So we have a pact to show the capabilities of the modelling industry amongst the two countries and to show the world how modelling can be transformed to carry.”

He went on to say that among his other hats, he also manages Ntate Stunna Stimela, a hit maker, and other artists (Penya Play and MCT Entertainment).
Some of the activities on the day will include poetry and performances by Malichelete Mochana, Chief Fasa, DJ Tseko, Gold Hearted, and Shabba De Guy. It will kick off at 5pm until 6am.
