MBABANE – In a move to boost the country’s health system, five health facilities have today received new ambulances.
This comes after government procured five ambulances worth over E4.8 Million. The ambulances have been allocated to Mkhuzweni Health Centre, Sithobela Health Centre, Lubombo Referral Hospital, Hlathikhulu government Hospital, and the National Psychiatric Referral Hospital.
The vehicles were presented by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi. “These health facilities have been prioritized by the Ministry because their ambulances are dilapidated to a point where they are not functional since they were last procured in 2013,” the minister said.
She continued: “I commend health workers for being patient and working through this difficult time, where some of the ambulances would encounter mechanical problems along the way. This exhibits your commitment and dedication to your work,”
