NHLANGANO – Five local artists will see their dream of recording their music come true as they will get a chance to do so next Friday at the Atmosphere of Love show.
The show will be headlined by South African Gospel artist Mpumi Mtshweni, who will be supported by local gospel artists, namely Ndunduzo Matse, Linda Dlamini, Ndoni, Shekinah Motsa, and many more.
This milestone for the five artists, namely Tamara Vilane,Msandi Motsa,Sizwe Simelane,Siyabonga Mdluli, and Bheki Sithole, was made possible by Nkosikhona Msholozi Siziba and the Vineyard School Ministry.
The show is presented by Msholozi Communication and sponsored by the Vineyard School of Ministry. The show, dubbed The Atmosphere of Love, is expected to kick off at 6 p.m. It will be held at Nhlangano Bethesda next Friday (February 16).
When reached for comment, the director and founder of Msholozi Communication, Nkosikhona Msholozi Siziba, shared with this publication that he put out a notice on the Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini (ACEASWA) Nhlangano page early in the year, calling out for artists who wanted to record their music. He also shared that the artists had to pay a certain amount for the recording, and they met them halfway with the balance for the cost of recording.
“Early in the year, I made the announcement on the Nhlangano ACEASWA page, and the word spread around, and that’s how we came up with the four upcoming artists. One of them joined recently after a family member came to us and donated anonymously to meet the costs of recording,” said Siziba.
When asked when they would record, Msholozi shared with this publication that they would have a programme, but the recording would happen on the day of the show. “We are currently in rehearsals in Manzini today, preparing for the show. We will also have a workshop on the day of the show,” said Msholozi.
The five upcoming artists were reached for a comment, and this is what they had to say;
Tamara Vilane (Mrs.Vee)
I am in my thirties. I am from Nhlangano, Mathendele, ext. 6. I will be recording a contemporary gospel. As far as I can remember, I started singing when I was four years old in a community choir. My music journey started back in primary school, when I was discovered by my grade 2 teacher. I received a phone call from another minister who told me about this opportunity, and I grabbed it with both hands.
Msandi Motsa
I’m 21 years old, and I’m from Nhlangano, where I live. I sing gospel. I started music when I was 17 years old. I used to render pieces of music for my peers on Wednesdays at the chapel, and that greatly motivated me to become a gospel artist. After being born again in 2018, I got this opportunity after realising that my God is able to do what people cannot do.
Sizwe Simelane
I am 26 years old, from Kontjingila, New Nazareth. I am an upcoming gospel artist; I started singing in 2021. I started on the praise team at church, Mbotjeni FECF.
On December 21, 2023, I attended a worship night, and I was one of the worshippers. After I ministered, the FECF president discovered I had the gift and asked me if, if I could get a chance to record it, I would take it. I said yes.
This year, when Msholozi Communications brought the show to Nhlangano and offered to do recordings for an upcoming artist, President Mlangeni called me and sponsored me to do the recording.
Siyabonga Mdluli
Siyabonga Mdluli (stage name Siya Bayas), a 29-year-old male artist, was born in Thunzini, Nhlangano. My music genre is contemporary Christian music. I started singing as a lead singer at Samaria Church around 2008, where I was discovered by Sifiso Dlamini. .
In the year 2021, I recorded a single titled Your Love is Kind, featuring two local artists. In the year 2022, I also got featured by a Swazi artist, Mpela Mndawe, where we recorded a song titled I Celebrate You.
I strongly believe Msholozi Communications is a true testimony to the song Your Love is Kind.
Bheki Sithole
I am from Nhlangano, born 41 years ago. I discovered my talent for singing in 2008 when I was on the praise team at Nhlangano Evangelical Church.
I have wanted to record my music since 2018, but due to finances, I couldn’t. When Msholozi hosted this show for us, he said it would be a live recording, and every artist who wants to record must come up with a commitment fee. I was struggling and praying hard to get that money.
After some weeks, Msholozi called me and told me I’m one of the Shiselweni artists who will be recording. An anonymous person has paid for my recording. We thank God for using Msholozi Communications to fulfil our dream as Shiselweni artists.
