MBABANE– The MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table supported by the First National Bank (FNB) will be developing Independence and unpacking ways in which they are developing the music sector.

The most anticipated workshops will take place tomorrow at House on Fire.

Not only will it form a creative and professional perspective in Africa but will be building bridges and creating a common ground for international and local musicians which encourages a valuable cultural and knowledge exchange.

The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini has further endorsed the partnership. Through the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga said this workshop is  Eswatini’s foremost arts industry development workshop promoting skills sharing, and digital media development.

“This event will empower female Voices amplifying them in the music business, where they will develop Independence and further unpack ways in which they are developing the music sector from a creative and professional perspective in Africa,” he said.

Worth noting is that every year The Arts Round Table, hosts a  series of conversations and workshops that takes place on the Friday of the MTN Bushfire Festival weekend. ,

It connects aspiring multi-disciplined artists with a selected number of seasoned festival performers. These thematically driven conversations enable individuals and organizations to succeed as professionals in the entertainment industry. To date, over 800 artists have benefited from these workshops.

House on Fire Communications Officer Simon Dawson mentioned that now in its second year, MTN Bushfire’s partnership with the European-based Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC), as well as the support from FNB Eswatini, enables direct networking and connections between the European and African music markets.

He said the partnership also seeks to create a synergy that lays the foundation for an annual opportunity to meet, engage, showcase, and activate a dynamic range of topics and outputs. This year, FNB Eswatini is supporting the arts development aspect of MTN Bushfire with E600 000, of which E200 000 will go directly to support the Arts Round Table conference.

“MTN Bushfire’s Arts Round Table 2023 will host speakers from the region and around the world, all with expertise across various pillars of the music business ecosystem. The themes will centre on,” he said.
