MBABANE – Learn how to avoid and deal with cybersecurity issues for free!
This comes after the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) opened up free online Cybersecurity courses.
The Ministry opened up the courses to the public yesterday, and they are offered in collaboration with the Eswatini Institute of Management and Public Administration (EIMPA), as well as the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM).
The courses will cover an Introduction to Cybersecurity, Cyber Threat Management, and Ethical Hacking.
“The courses are two-fold, for the general public and professionals,” read an announcement about the courses on the official Eswatini Government Facebook page.
One of the courses available to professionals is the Cyber Threat Management course.
“This course explores governance in cybersecurity and threat management. Learn to develop policies and ensure your organisation complies with ethics standards and legal and regulatory frameworks,” reads Instructor Sandile Msibi’s notes on the course.
EmaSwati who wish to enroll in the free courses can expect to learn what cybersecurity is, the common cybersecurity threats, attacks and vulnerabilities, gain insight on how businesses protect their operations from attacks, as well as advise on the latest job trends and why cybersecurity continues to grow.
The courses will be available from November 1 to December 12.
