MBABANE – Taiwan Ambassador to Eswatini Jeremy Liang led a team of Taiwanese doctors and nurses to Sandleni yesterday (May 13, 2024) to provide free medical treatment to the people staying there.

Sandleni is a rural area located 29 kilometers from Hlatikhulu Town in the Shiselweni District. About 474 residents received free medical attention, including consultations, medication, ultrasound check up, cancer screening and health education.

Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima, who is also Sandleni Member of Parliament (MP) thanked Taiwanese professionals for their dedication and compassion towards helping those in need.

Organisations such as the Taiwan-Africa Vegetable Initiative and Woman Business Start up Microfinance Revolving Fund were also part of the event to promote low interests loans and nutrition awareness, respectively.
