MBABANE– Good news for motorists in Eswatini as fuel prices will go down tomorrow at midnight.
The good news comes a day after South Africa has also announced a drop I fuel prices.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy Dorcas Dlamini today issued a statement announcing the new fuel price adjustments. She said the new prices will be effective from midnight of Thursday 8 June 2023.
This is contained in a press statement released earlier today.
The PS stated that the price for diesel 50 ppm S will decrease by E1 per litre, where illuminating paraffin is expecting a decrement of E 0.50c per litre, and the price of unleaded petrol will remain unchanged.
“As a result, both products are carrying an over recovery/profit hence necessitating a price decrease. On the other hand, petrol is still carrying a deficit due to that the petrol price has in the past two months been kept constant yet the situation warrants an increase.”
