Last year, during the 55/55 celebrations, the Garden Party was also celebrated in Mandvulo Grand Hall and this is the same venue that hosted the Garden Party during the 50/50 celebrations, which were held at Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini. Before the 55/55 celebrations took place, the King’s Birthday had last been publicly celebrated in 2019 at Buhleni Royal Residence.

Hhohho Regional Administrator Princess Tsandzile also wished His Majesty the King all the best during his special day. Princess Tsandzile, who is a former minister at the Ministry of Home Affairs, also congratulated Manzini Region, particularly Mankayane for having been chosen as the venue to host such an event.

She also wished the staff members at the Ministry of Home Affairs all the best, as they prepared for this event. She said she remembered what used to happen during such times, when she was still at the Ministry of Home Affairs. She said it was difficult to sleep when the day of this event drew nearer. She had confidence on the people tasked with preparing for the event, stating that they would make it successful.
