MBABANE- Gcebile Dlamini has emerged as the frontrunner in the special voting process at Dvokodvweni Inkhundla.
This remarkable achievement comes as a response to the call made by His Majesty King Mswati III to involve more women and youth in political positions.
The special voting, which took place on Tuesday, witnessed an overwhelming show of support for Dlamini. In an interview with this publication Gcebile Dlamini shares how grateful she is about the results. “Being a frontrunner for MP is so humbling and I appreciate boMalindza for seeing something in me. I view it as a positive challenge to unleash the best of me at serving my constituency and the country at large, that if we get through,” she said.
She also shared that Musa Dlamini, secured the second position and former Member of Parliament Stezi Dlamini achieved an impressive third position.

She added: “I am seeing quite a number of women having been nominated but we will see how far they go in the whole process. It is important that we emphasize that it should not be done out of sympathy or balance of scales, but women must be selected because they are equally competent for that position. There are still traces of the element of women being undermined, but we getting there as a country.”
