MBABANE – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s Scholarship Department has announced that applications for tertiary scholarships are now open.
The announcement was made yesterday through a statement from the said office. The applications are open for all students who have been accepted to study in local and SADC region tertiary institutions. The applications are open as of the 21st of June 2022, until the 24th of July 2022.
In order to reduce application costs for students and minimise COVID-19 cases, the applications are only to be filled out online. The website to use is https://www.slas.gov.sz., and students who need assistance with it are encouraged to contact the reception at the Scholarship Office in Mbabane.
Answering questions to members of the public, Government clarified that self-sponsored students who are currently enrolled and would like to apply for scholarships are welcome to do so. Government also clarified that, “Considerations will be made in the event the deadline arrives before some prospective students receive their responses from tertiary institutions.”
