…. His Majesty has cut the ribbon, officially opening Ezulwini Private Hospital

MBABANE – The Minister of Health on behalf of the Government of Eswatini has revealed their aim of universal health care coverage.

This has been said by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi, when addressing His Majesty King Mswati III and invited guests at the official opening of Ezulwini Private Hospital (EPH)

She said their aim was to have more health care centres that step up to the required standard in the country.

“Hospitals play a vital role in providing medical care to people in need. These institutions have been around for centuries, evolving over time to become the advanced healthcare facilities we have today. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the importance of hospitals and their role in our communities,” said Nkosi.

Earlier today, His Majesty King Mswati III cut the ribbon officially opening Ezulwini Private Hospital, this is a new state of the art facility that is rivalled by none within the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The aim and vision for the new hospital ecompasses key values that include quality and affordable care, excellent, patient centred and community based service.

Meanwhile EPH Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Thandeka Khanyile they were happy to have been the first team to make EPH’s dream a reality.

She further said they were humbled by His Majesty King Mswati III’s presence because after today, they were going to uphold their standards.

“Our service will make sure we contribute to the wellness and upkeep of the Eswatini population. Our equipment and service is a true testament to our commitment,” said Khanyile.

The well spoken Dr further revealed that by the end of the current year, they anticipate to have been fully accredited by The Council for Health Services Accreditation of Southern Africa (CoHSASA).

CoHSASA is the only internationally-recognised, quality improvement accreditation body for healthcare facilities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Their standards have been developed, piloted, used and refined for hospitals, clinics, hospices, sub-acute facilities, rehabilitation centres and GPS.
