The Ministry of Agriculture has opened its hands to assist farmers throughout the farming season and this assistance is just a phone call away.
This was revealed by Minister of Agriculture Jabulani Mabuza where he was letting farmers know that more tractors were available for the farming season.
“The Government of Eswatini has secured more tractors this year. Over 300 tractors are available to assist farmers during the farming season. This means more tractors will be made available- all of which have been provided with diesel.
“This is to ensure nothing will get in the way or disturb farming activities this year. Some areas have already been farmed, leaving just a few areas in need of farming. This means that more people can now get access to the tractors.
“The tractors will be rotating to different rural development areas (RDAs) because rain falls differently in different parts of the country,” said Mabuza.
Mabuza further thanked all emaSwati who had assisted the government by providing their own tractors.
“We are really grateful to emaSwati who have given us their tractors. No area as we speak is short of tractors because of the help we have received from emaSwati. People who need assistance can just call us on 78020613,” said Mabuza.
