MBABANE – With the aim to beautify Mankayane for the upcoming 56th King’s Birthday celebrations, the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the Mankayane Municipality, has announced a community clean-up campaign.
The clean-up campaign will take place on the 17th of April 2024, with the assembly point for participants set at the Mabovini waiting room. The event will begin at 08:30 hours.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has emphasised that the primary aim of the community clean-up campaign is to encourage Mankayane residents to work together in ensuring that their town is sparkling clean and inviting for the anticipated visitors to the upcoming royal celebrations.
The community is showing a sense of civic pride and responsibility in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Not only will this campaign help to beautify the town, but it will also instil a sense of ownership and communal spirit among residents.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has highlighted the significance of community clean-up campaigns, encouraging other towns and communities across Eswatini to follow suit.
